| International Students |
Single Room: Students of University, Junior College Program, Graduate School Masters
Program,
Doctorate Program, or specialized courses at a specialty/vocational institution, within the City
of Yokohama, who have a "college student" visa (including those expected to enter these schools
in April, 2020).
* Those who do not meet the requirements: Auditor students, research students, pre-college
students, Short-term international student, or students engaged in specialized
research courses
Family Room: Those who can live with the international student in a family room include:
spouse
and children with "dependent," or "college student," visas.
* Accepted applicants must attend the Guidance for New Residents Meeting to be held in February /March. In case of absence of the meeting, your name will be put on a waiting list.

| Resident Assistant (RA) |
Single Room: Japanese students or Students having permanent resident visa in Japan,
of University, Junior College Program, Graduate School Masters Program, Doctorate Program or
specialized courses at a specialty/vocational school within the city of Yokohama.
* Those who do not meet the requirements: Auditor students, research students, pre-college
students, or students engaged in specialized research courses
《 Role of RA 》
・Actively participate and cooperate in events held at the Yokohama International Student House.
・Support exchange activities of international students.
・Become a bridge of friendship among the international students, trying to make one more new
friend in the Yokohama International Student House.
・Work towards solving misunderstandings that may arise from everyday life and customs and
explain about Japanese customs/culture.
・Provide cooperation to the operation of this house
* Applicants must undergo an interview.
* Accepted applicants must attend the Guidance for New Residents Meeting
to be held in February. In case of absence of the meeting, your name will
be put on a waiting list.

January 4 to 5:00p.m. January 31, 2020
Must be arrived by this date, mail or bring yourself.
* Basically, your school will collect all their students’ applications and send us at once. Please be sure to confirm the deadline of your own school, as in some cases the deadline may be earlier depending on the individual school. |

| ６ Notification of Results for Acceptance of Residents |
Residents are decided by the “Yokohama International Student House Resident Acceptance Committee.”
The results will be sent to the applicants directly, on February 13th,
2020 (in the envelope you sent us). We will send the results also to the respective schools. |
| 7 Interview |
| Only applicants for RA will have interview before deciding the acceptance of residents. |
| 8 Monthly Rent and Room Facilities |
Single Room: 20,000 yen per month（Size 18 ㎡）
Family Room: 30,000 yen per month（Size 38 ㎡）
《Other expenses》
* Neither a deposit, "Thank you" fee, nor management fee are
required.
* Water and hot water charges are flat fee.
* Residents are individually responsible for electricity.
* There is a bed, unit bath/shower, fridge, air conditioner, small kitchen,
and curtains in each room. |

・Water and hot water charge (flat fee) Single room: 3,400 yen per month
Family room: 4,600 yen per month
・Room Cleaning Charge (after your leaving) Single room: 20,000 yen
Family room: 30,000 yen
・Wi-Fi cost (annual) 10,000 yen
・ Residents’ Associatin membership fee(annual) 3,000 yen |
| 10 Schedule for accepted applicants |
・Deadline for reply to acceptance notification:February 18
You should reply that you will live in our house or not by Feb. 18. No
reply means cancel.
・Contract and Guidance for New Residents:We will inform you one of the
following days.
February 28 9:30-12:00
March 2 9:30-12:00
March 10 9:30-12:00
・Move In:From April 1.
Move in will commence one after another.
After we have confirmed some days when you desire to move in, we will appoint
the specific day and time of your move in.
・Orientation:Saturday, April 4 15:30-16:30 |
| 11 Residency Period |
The period of stay is from April 1, 2020 to March 28, 2021.
Residents who meet the qualifications for residency may have their stay extended for another year.
※However, the move-out deadline may be changed depending on cleaning and
building maintenance. |
| 12 Regarding personal information |
| Any personal information entered on your application form will be used
solely for the application procedure. However, please take note that the
application procedure also includes the submission of this personal information
to your university. |
